I have disabled the other utility but don't see Wireless Zer

Through out my years of helping end users trouble shoot connection issues I have noticed several ones that are common place. These threads will begin to address the more common issues and their solutions. As time progresses I will add more issues and the solutions that I have found that work. This will also be a forum for questions on issues your end users may be having that you do not see posted.

There are two possibilities for this:

A) the Wireless Zero services are not running
OR
B) the Wireless Zero services are running but the program is not in your system startup.

To see if Wireless Zero is in your startup:
1 - Click Start
2 - Click RUN
3 - in the RUN box type MSCONFIG and hit enter
4 - Click on the STARTUP tab and look for WZCSVC and make sure the box is checked
5 - Click APPLY and then OK
6 - Reboot the computer

To see if the Wireless Zero services are running:
1 - Click Start
2 - Right-click on My computer
3 - Select computer management
4 - Under services and applications, select services
5 - Look for the service Wireless Zero Configuration (services should be listed in alphabetical order)
6 - Make sure that it is started and that the startup type is set to automatic. If it isn't, right-click on the service and select properties and set it to startup automatically.
